Preparing for 2023 Season

It is the time to plan for this years’s trips away. With the energy prices so high the majority of campsites have put their prices up, some have gone stupid while some are reasonable but we still have to decide what is the max per night we will pay. The price is difficult to agree on but £22 with electric seems the most expensive with an average for the season below £15 overall. The C&CC temporary holiday sites are still the best value with prices from £9-£15 per night but there is no electric or facilities.

Iona has passed the MOT and has had a service. The habitation service is next month just before out first trips away.

I have booked the first 5 sites with a further 2 temporary holiday sites that were booked last year as we left them.

Kingsbury Water Park on the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal

We start off near Sutton Coldfield at a site next to a canal, from here we move to the Norfolk Coast for mussels.

Brancaster

We go back inland to two new venues at Market Overton and then Stoney Stanton in Leicestershire before heading back to the Norfolk coast near Cromer.

Mundesley

The other two sites take us to Yorkshire and then to the coast at Bridlington which is an annual outing although the water quality has become an issue recently according to the News reports.

Bridlington

It all seems along way away as we sit looking out at a garden covered in winter whiteness.

Awaiting the Spring
