Trip. 10,July 2025, Glebe House School, Hunstanton.

We have been to Hunstanton quite a few times and this temporary holiday site is on the playing fields of a school within walking distance of Hunstanton and the sea front.
The first day is fairly easy but sets the trend for all the other days.

After lunch with the sun shining we walked to the promenade and into town. We stopped off for a drink at the Sunset Wine bar which is part of the theatre. There is a terrace with outside tables overlooking the green and the promenade. It is a great place to people watch.

After a couple of drinks we wandered back along the sea front and then inland to the school where the campsite was.

On the third day we walked into Hunstanton and then we followed the seafront to Heacham. We had chosen the hottest day to walk the 3 miles but we made it to the caravan site where Sue’s sister has a static caravan. We tried to cool off with a cold drink before we walked into the village to the local clubhouse. We managed to get a table outside overlooking the bowling green and settled in to catch up over a couple of drinks before we caught a bus back into Hunstanton.
Next stop was Fish & Chips from the Five Frying Fish chip shop.We took our fish & chips onto the green and people watched, while we sat on the grass and ate them.

Then the final walk back to the campsite.
On our final day we were going to meet Sue’s sister & husband in Hunstanton. After much texting the women decided that we should meet at the Wash & Tope pub because it was raining. We arrived absolutely soaking wet, we got a drink and texted the others who told us they were at the Sunset Wine bar and they had a table outside under the awning, we finished our drinks and retraced our steps to the Sunset Wine Bar.
Hunger started to get a grip so we walked across the road to the Marine Bar where we got a table inside and ordered food. Then it was finally time for Sue’s sister & husband to catch the bus back to Heacham while we walked home to the campsite. We arrived back with plenty of time to watch France v Germany in the Women’s 2025 Euro football quarter finals.
So we had a great stay again although these notes seem to show we spent most of the time drinking in a bar, well sometimes you just have to take advantage of the weather, the location and family.
