2023 A brief resume
For us our 2023 adventures have come to an end and now we prepare like many for Christmas at home then the New year which soon starts with the Motorhome Tax, Service and Habitation Service, new insurance.
But before we start on 2024 here is part 1 of the reminders of the 19 trips over 70 nights away in 2023.
Trip 1: Kingsbury Water Park. Acres of lakes and abundant wildlife. The Park with cafe and miniature railway. The Birmingham & Fazeley canal towpath leading to a good pub,


Trip 2: Deepdale Backpackers, Brancaster Norfolk. Walking along the coastal path, on the beach, up on the common. There are two pubs. The area is known for its Mussels which are available during October – March.


Trip 3: The Lodge Trust, Market Overton. There is a pub in the village and plenty of footpaths to follow.

Trip 4: Fortway Farm, Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire. Some walks available and it is very close to Stoney Cove which is a world renowned Scuba Diving centre, there is a bar and restaurant open to the public.


Trip 5: Sandy Gulls, Mundesley, Nth Norfolk. Perched on the cliffs with a short walk to a slipway down to the beach or follow the road in the opposite direction to Mundesley for some shops, Fish & Chips and The Ship Inn.




Trip 6: Braham Farm, Ely , Cambs. You walk along the Great Ouse river into Ely with it’s shops and Cathedral. Plenty of history to see.


Trip 7: Ilkley RFC. Set in the valley next to the river Wharfe, Riverside walks and then walk up onto Ilkley Moor. Plenty of walking and history.


Trip 8: Hutton Le Hole, Yorkshire. It is a small village with a few cafes, a pub and The Ryedale Folk museum that has 19 reconstructed buildings, each furnished in a particular era. Plenty of walking on the moors.




Trip 9: Darley Dale, The campsite is a field behind Darley Dale railway station, the Peak railway line runs Steam Trains from just north of the campsite to Matlock. You can walk the entire line and at the Darley Dale end of the line there is the main engine sheds, station and a tea room. A bit further on there is the Peak Village shopping centre.
